Accessibility is a term used in relation to allowing people of all abilities, and lack thereof, to have access to the same information and tasks as everyone else. I’m learning about it, and want to share what I’ve learned and discuss things as I go.
‘Accessibility’ is often abbreviated to ‘a11y’ (those are numerical ones, not letter els, although the play on word ‘ally’ is common in this space). The idea is that to spell ‘accessibility’, you start with ‘a’, then have eleven more letters, followed by a ‘y’.
